What is homeopathy?
In 1790, the German doctor Samuel Hahnemann created a new medical science, based on the principle of treatment similar and called it "homeopathy". This word comes from the Greek words "homoios" (meaning similar) and "pathos" (meaning suffering). The medical school of that time called "allopathy" ("allos" - other, "pathos" - suffering).
Homeopathy has been actively used worldwide for over 200 years. It attracts people with its effectiveness and safety, mild treatment and almost no side effects.
How does it work?
The main principle in term of chosing says: like treating like. "Similia similibus curantur".
The active substances of the medications cause symptoms similar to the symptoms of the disease and thus heal a patient. What causes the disease cures it. Hahnemann said that the homeopathy in use would cause a so-called medicinal disease and it would displace the natural disease in our body.
For example, mercury (Hg) poisoning is well-known to affect kidneys. Therefore, low-dose Hg can treat kidney diseases which show symptoms similar to Hg poisoning.
